Bodegas y Vinedos Abadia de Acon (Ribera del Duero)

The Carrasco family winery is located in the heart of the Ribera del Duero in Castrillo de la Vega, Burgos. In 1953, Norberto Carrasco, the grandfather of the current owner, Jose Antonio Carrasco, began to vinify and consciously bottle wines himself. Since then, variations of autochthonous Tempranillo grapes have been used. The vines are approx. 15 years old for the "Joven" (young wines) and approx. 70 years old for the large wines of the family, which have already received several awards. To this day, absolute importance is attached to the highest quality of the grapes, the right degree of ripeness and a region-typical vinification. The Carrasco family wines are still a synthesis of unique body and expression.
