Quinta Vale de Fornos

The Quinta Vale de Fornos winery develops its terroir in the transition between the "Campo" and "Bairro" areas. With irregular orography, calcareous clay and sandy soils, the vineyards develop between valleys, slopes and hills. The winery is centuries old. It was in the XVIII. Built in the 16th century by D.ª Antónia Ferreira (Ferreirinha) as a wedding present for her daughter when she married the Count of Azambuja. In the winery, the original marble stone deposits and an impressive collection of large wooden casks have been preserved.
