Colline del Chianti - Chianti Classico

This small wine region produces perhaps one of the most famous and popular wines: the Chianti Classico. Wine has been produced in this area for over 2000 years, since the time of the Etruscans. This Tuscan region was called Chianti and recognized as a wine region since the 13th century, and its borders were established in 1716 by an edict of Grand Duke Cosimo III de 'Medici.
