Château Rouquette (Bordeaux)
The Château Rouquette winery in Pellegrue is one of the oldest wineries in Entre-Deux-Mers (located southwest of the city of Bordeaux) and was founded in 1346 in the hills of the Gironde region, between the Dordogne and Garonne rivers. The château wrote its history through viticulture and survived the most diverse historical periods. It has retained tradition and authenticity for a long time. The 30 hectares of vineyards, planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and some Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris, nestle around the castle, which is located on a hill. The late harvest, the privileged geographical location, the hand-picking of the grapes and the tireless efforts of Madame Julie Bergerat (the soul of the château) and the oenologist Christophe Widcoq create wines with a very special expression and character.
